(directly behind Township Hall at 2074 Aurelius Road in Holt)
During this fast-paced art creation opportunity, individual artists make magic on an individual canvas and take turns on a community canvas, building on the work of the other artists to create something truly unique. Music, an engaged audience and the synergy of creative expression will make our 4th annual ArtSLAM an event you won’t want to miss. The best part, once the pieces are completed, visitors can bid in the silent auction and bring a piece of the magic home.
To participate, complete the following application. Participating artists will receive a $50.00 consideration and a complementary volunteer bracelet to Hops & Bops craft beer tasting. All basic materials necessary to create the acrylic artwork will be supplied (canvas, easel, basic colors, brushes, water, towels, etc.). Artists are welcome to bring other materials and equipment to use, but will not be compensated beyond the payment and access listed above. Each artist will also be featured in promotional materials and on the Holt Community Arts Council’s social media outlets.
Artists will also have space near the ArtSLAM stage to display and sell any artwork or other promotional items. Artists are responsible for setting up, tearing down and operating these display and retail areas.
By submitting their application, artists agree to commit to the following schedule:
12:30pm set up, 1:00pm ArtSLAM creation begins, 2:30pm ArtSLAM creation ends. Artists are welcome to attend the announcing of auction winners at 7:00pm.
Artists further understand that all work product of the ArtSlam event are the property of
the Holt Community Arts Council and proceeds from the auction sales belong to HCAC.
